Some customers prefer a handheld remote. Others like the app or a control on the wall. We start with the way you want to use the shades, whether that's one window at a time or several together.
Choose the shade style for the light, privacy and look you want. Then we’ll check which motors and controls are available for that style and your window size.
PowerView® Automation lets you operate selected Hunter Douglas window treatments with a remote or the PowerView® App. In the app, you can set schedules for the times you want the shades to move.
A PowerView® Gen 3 Gateway is needed for control while you’re away and for supported smart-home connections. We’ll check the accessories needed for the features you want.
The PowerView® App is required for programmed operation.
Power choices depend on the product. Available options may include replaceable batteries, rechargeable power or a wired connection. For a tall window, the way you reach a battery or charger matters just as much as the control you choose.
If you're building or remodeling, we can talk through power options alongside the window design. We can also discuss the shade requirements with your electrician if electrical work is needed.
On a new-build project in Santa Rosa Valley, we installed hardwired shades and set up the app controls. When a wiring connection needed attention, we coordinated with an electrician to resolve it and complete the setup.

John has helped customers recalibrate a shade in the app over the phone. If the issue needs a closer look, we can discuss an in-person service visit.
